Shyam Srinivasan
Shyam Srinivasan served as Managing Director & CEO of Federal Bank for fourteen years, from 2010 to 2024. His career spans over three decades across India, the Middle East and South-East Asia, with earlier senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank, where he was part of its Global Executive Forum, and at Citibank. He is today a Board Director and Senior Advisor at TVS Capital Funds, an Independent Director at ICICI Lombard, and a member of the RBI’s Advisory Group on Regulation. He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and NIT Tiruchirappalli, and a Distinguished Alumnus of both.
Under his leadership, Federal Bank grew from a regionally rooted lender into a nationally recognised franchise. He was named Business Standard Banker of the Year, a Forbes Icon of Excellence, and among India’s Top 50 Best Leaders in Times of Crisis.
