Dr. J. Shanti

Dr. J. Shanti is an Associate Professor of Management at Alliance University, Bengaluru, with nearly two decades of experience spanning academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and academic administration.

A published researcher, Dr. Shanti’s work spans entrepreneurship, sustainability, AI and digital transformation, MSMEs, and strategic management.

As Faculty Innovation Ambassador at Alliance University, she promotes innovation through Design Thinking, business plan development, startup mentoring, and experiential learning.

Her first book, The Far Acre, reflects her belief that entrepreneurship is best understood through lived experiences of uncertainty, resilience, responsibility, and growth. Through authentic founder narratives, the book brings the realities of building a venture closer to aspiring entrepreneurs and students. Dr. Shanti continues to extend her work through research, case writing, consulting, startup mentoring, live projects, faculty development, and industry-academia initiatives, with a focus on making entrepreneurial knowledge more accessible and connecting scholarship with real-world enterprise challenges.
