Deepali Naair

We’re joined today by Deepali Naair who is the Group CMO of the CK Birla Group. For those in the know, the CK Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate with an operating revenue of $3B, employing over 35,000 employees globally, across Engineering Technology, Global Solutions Integration, Heavy Engineering Equipment, Construction, Mining, Electricals, Manufacturing, Healthcare and Education. Some of the brands we all are well aware of, which include Birlasoft Limited, Orient Electric Limited, CK Birla Hospital, Orient Cement Limited, Orient Paper & Industries Limited are some of the entities in the CK Birla Group and as Group CMO - Deepali has her hands full!


Prior to her current role, Deepali was the Director, Bengaluru Digital Sales Centre and Digital Sales Centre Growth for Asia Pacific at IBM and also served as the CMO for IBM in India & South Asia. Before IBM, she was the Chief Marketing & Digital Officer at IIFL Wealth group of companies, and also served as a non-executive member of the board at IIFL Wealth Finance. In the past, Deepali has also served as the CMO at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts, the Country Head for Brand, Customer Service & E-commerce at L&T General Insurance Company Limited, the VP & Head of Marketing at HSBC Asset Management India, and served in in companies such as Tata Motors, Marico, BPL Mobile and Draft FCB Ulka.


She’s the host of a podcast series called “Being CEO with Deepali Nair”, won countless CMO awards and Marketing specialisation awards, and also been a jury member with prominent awards platforms such as the EMVIES, EFFIES, Abbys and IAMAI’s Digital awards to name a few. She loves to teach too.
